The documentary looks at Britain’s role in the slave trade, colonialism and empire, and how the #BlackLivesMatter movement sparked by George Floyd’s murder has transformed awareness around these issues including in Scotland. The documentary will be introduced by director Jose Maria Martinelli and it will be followed by a discussion of anti-racism in Scotland and how we can support the campaign for justice for Sheku Bayoh, whose family have called him ‘Scotland’s George Floyd’.
