Tonight, we travel through the heart of Halloween. Let haunting voices carry you over the pulse of electronic beats, to an otherworldly realm that’s both beautiful and unsettling. For this night of gothic splendour, we present performances by:

SEV KA

Using a loop pedal, Sev Ka weaves her moving voice into layers over hip hop beats, creating soundscapes that feel at once ancient and new. With influences from Eastern European folk music and confessional lyrics, her music enchants and disarms.

DORA LACHAISE

Lending her ethereal voice to those on the other side of the veil, Dora Lachaise’s songs are delightfully dark with occasional glimmers of hope. Tonight’s performance marks the launch of her malicious new single, ‘Red Door’. Jonni Slater joins on keys and BVs. Perfect for fans of Massive Attack and Danny Elfman.

EMBER QUINE

A captivating, dark voice soaring over retro electronic beats, Ember Quine builds anthemic songs of strength and fragility, shadows and highlights. This solo project of Freya Giles, frontwoman of Glasgow indie rock band Woodwife, is cool as Moloko, with the darkness of Depeche Mode.
