JOSEF AKIN DOUBLE EP LAUNCH

Josef Akin and band perform and launch for the first time the two EPs released this year, Enymore, and Chimera (out October 19th). The music has already been supported widely on radio (Gilles Peterson / BBC Radio 6 Music, Rinse FM, Jazz Re:Freshed Radio, Toshio Matsuura, Rebecca Vasmant) and elsewhere. The EPs are more adventurous, and a progression from Josef's debut album and hint at a new direction that he's taking the music.

This is the first headline show since the packed out show for Celtic Connections back in January, and first Glasgow show since performing to a sold out St Luke's supporting Hot 8 Brass Band back in May.

The all-star cast features mainstays of the Glasgow jazz scene Harry Weir (corto.alto, AKU!), Anoushka Nanguy (NooVision, Kokoroko), India Blue (Azamiah), Norman Villeroux (GABO), and newest member Roan Anderson (Tao, Modernistic).
