For our next party we've got something special planned for you all - with The Queer History of Dance Music going back to back all night. We started our show together in 2018 on Sub City radio as a way to explore the co-evolution of the LGBTQI rights movement and dance culture.
The show was headhunted for a residency on Clyde Built Radio in 2021 and has grown from there. During this time we have had the amazing opportunity to interview some of the key figures of the dance music community not only in Glasgow but also around the world (including Tim Lawrence, Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy, Suze Ijo, Mi$$ CO$MIX, TAAHLIAH, DJ Paulette) been invited to review the best festivals (including We Out Here, Dekmantel, Wonderfruit) and play in some of Glasgow's best clubs, with our favourite local queer DJs ... to the best dancers in the world. To celebrate, we'll be curating a night of the best music we have came across in our deep and wide exploration of the history of dance music, playing all of the music that has defined our musical journey with you. If you've followed us from the start, expect to hear plenty of familiar frequencies, vibrations, and slinky lil ditties that join the dots across different genres, artists and eras. We'll be telling you more about what we're got planned for this special night over the next few weeks - including how the music fit within the development of queer history ... but tickets are available now!
